You mostly record money you collect yourself

Many academies take cash, transfers and card payments outside their software. If that's you, the payment processing you'd pay for inside a larger system may not be what you use every day.

Your price shouldn't move with your enrollment

Jackrabbit's tiers rise with the number of students. Membrix Pro is $49/month per location no matter how many students you have.

When you shouldn't move off Jackrabbit Class

Before you move, check whether any of these is essential to you.

You depend on auto-drafted tuition

If your tuition is collected by recurring auto-drafts inside Jackrabbit, moving means going back to recording payments yourself, because Membrix doesn't process payments in the U.S.

You use Jackrabbit's staff tools

Its features and web portal pages list self check-in, a time clock with payroll and appointments. Membrix has no staff time clock; on Pro you can record payroll as an expense category.

You run waitlists

Jackrabbit's help center describes managing class waitlists with priority ordering. Membrix has no waiting list, so a full class stays full until someone leaves.

You need the Enterprise dashboard

Jackrabbit lists a Business Intelligence dashboard on its Enterprise plan. Membrix's reports are simpler and are an Excel export on Pro.

A checklist for testing Membrix

Test with your real list before you decide, and keep Jackrabbit running until you're sure.

1Write down what you use every week in Jackrabbit: payments, texts, waitlists, reports. Anything on the list that Membrix doesn't do in the U.S. is a reason to stay.
2Export your student list from Jackrabbit as a spreadsheet, and check the export includes phone numbers and emails.
3Create a Membrix account, choose US dollars and import the list. The import screen is in Spanish.
4Set up two or three programs with their prices and billing days, and enroll a handful of students.
5Record a week of real payments and attendance in Membrix next to Jackrabbit and compare balances.

Can I keep Jackrabbit while I test Membrix?

Yes. Membrix has a free plan with unlimited students and no credit card at sign-up, so you can import your list and run it next to Jackrabbit for a few weeks. Nothing in Membrix touches your Jackrabbit account.

Will Membrix take payments from my students in the U.S.?
