Martial arts school software in Spanish for karate, taekwondo and jiu-jitsu
In a school where the instructor speaks Spanish, the belts have two names and some classes run in English, the software shouldn't force a language on the front desk. Membrix runs in Spanish and lets you label belts, classes and students in whichever language you use.
Free plan with unlimited students. No credit card to start.
Membrix's app and dashboard are currently available in Spanish.
Track tuition in USD. Integrated card payments and automatic charges are currently available only in Mexico, in MXN.

Situations that only come up in Spanish-speaking martial arts schools
Belts that have a name in each language
Create a custom field called Belt as a list of options that you write yourself, such as “Yellow / Amarilla” or “Green / Verde”, and set it on each student. It works as a filter in Students and Payments. After a test you update the field by hand, since Membrix doesn't promote anyone automatically.
Some classes in Spanish, some in English
Membrix doesn't manage the language of a class, but you can put it in the class name, such as “Kids (español)” and “Adults (English)”, and add a “Preferred language” custom field to your students. Then you can filter to see who to message in which language before the next belt test.
The sensei on weeknights, an assistant on Saturdays
Assign a different instructor to each day of a class. Each one signs in to a Spanish-language portal on a phone, sees the day's classes and marks students present, late, excused or absent, without seeing payment amounts. On Pro, students can check in with a QR code on a kiosk screen.
Test day has two amounts for the same students
The exam and the new belt are different costs. Use Add charge twice for the students who test: once with the exam fee and once with the belt price, each with its own concept and due date. Both appear on the account as separate lines, apart from monthly tuition.
Tuition arrives in an envelope after class
Record each cash payment with the date you received it, and use the reference field for a transfer number. The account shows partial payments as partial, so a student who pays half in the first week and the rest later doesn't get lost.
How Spanish-speaking martial arts schools use Membrix
- 1
Create programs for each discipline and age group
“Karate kids”, “Taekwondo teens” and “BJJ adults” each get their own monthly price and billing day. An optional one-time registration fee is billed when a student enrolls.
- 2
Add your own fields in your own words
Create Belt as a list, Preferred language as a list and anything else you track, such as uniform size. Fields can be used as filters in Students and Payments.
- 3
Build classes with an instructor on each day
Create each class from the calendar with its days, times, room and capacity, and choose who teaches each day. Put the language in the class name if it matters to your students.
- 4
Charge tests and record payments as they come in
Use Add charge for exams and belts. Open Payments to record cash, transfers and card payments you took yourself, and see who is pending, partial or overdue before testing day.

What Membrix doesn't do
So you know up front whether it fits.
- Membrix doesn't manage tournaments. There are no brackets, weight classes or scoring, and a tournament fee is only a charge on an account.
- It doesn't decide who is ready for a belt. It keeps the attendance history and the decisions you record, and the decision stays with you.
- The class language is a label you write, not a setting. Membrix doesn't translate anything or send a message in English on your behalf.
- Membrix doesn't collect card payments in the U.S. and doesn't track federation or insurance registrations beyond what you keep in custom fields.
Frequently asked questions about Membrix for Spanish-speaking martial arts schools
Can I write belt colors in Spanish and English?
+
Yes. A custom field can be a list of options, and you write each option yourself, for example “Blue / Azul”. Set it on each student and filter Students or Payments by it. Updating it after a test is a manual step, and the field can hold any text you choose.
Can I charge the exam and the new belt to only the students who test?
+
Yes. Use Add charge, select the students who are testing, and create one charge for the exam and another for the belt, each with its own concept, amount and due date. Only the selected students see them, and they stay apart from monthly tuition.
Is the instructor portal in Spanish?
+
Yes. Instructors sign in to a web portal in Spanish from a phone or a computer, see the classes assigned to them and mark attendance. They don't see payment amounts. The mobile app for instructors, which is also in Spanish, is part of Pro.
Can adults and kids train at the same school?
+
Yes. Each student is recorded as an adult or a minor, and the sign-up form asks whether the person is an adult student or the guardian of a minor. Adults sign up on their own and kids are signed up by their guardian. Classes are separate for each age group.
Does Membrix work for capoeira, boxing or other disciplines?
+
Yes. Membrix isn't limited to a list of martial arts. Any discipline can be a program with its own classes, price and instructors, and you can create custom fields for whatever you track, such as belt, weight or level.
